Want to transform data management with the cloud at a leader in Gartner’s magic quadrant 6 years in a row? Explore a rare opportunity to incubate and build a line of business as a Business Development Manager for Commvault’s Service Provider solutions in EMEA.
The Service Provider business is a key pillar of EMEA’s growth plan over the next three to five years. This individual will leverage her/his product experience, domain expertise, strong analytic skills and a keen understanding of both the managed services and the data management market to develop and promote Commvault’s solutions for cloud based data protection, disaster recovery, edge protection and a few more in incubation with the Service Provider community.
This person will work hand in hand with the account teams to evangelise the Commvault story to senior level audiences across business and IT functions at Service Providers and re-sellers. Technical understanding of enterprise IT data protection and availability needs as well as customers journey to the cloud are essential, as is the ability to create and communicate product key messages, value proposition, differentiation and benefits across internal and external channels while working with and influencing cross-functional teams. A successful individual in this role should be able to identify high potential existing partners, as well as emerging high potential channels and align them with service provider growth objectives
Position Responsibilities include:
You will work with the account teams in EMEA to set the Service Provider business agenda for the fiscal year including account, channel and marketing plans to exceed growth and revenue expectations. Towards this goal this role will be responsible for, among others,
Being the market expert on target markets, audience, and competition for the assigned regions
Developing product positioning and messaging that clearly differentiate Commvault’s solutions
Evangelising Commvault’s solutions with the sales team, partners, prospects, press, and analysts
Work hand in hand with the account teams to appropriately qualify opportunities
Develop strategic account plans with the field teams and assist in their execution
Champion cloud- and service provider friendly utility and subscription (OpEx) consumption models
Work with the account teams and “deal desk” in smart deal crafting, improving probability and deal size
Developing creative, compelling sales tools for the sales organisation to leverage in sales cycles
Planning and managing the launch of new products and services with SP’s and Aggregators
Developing marketing tools for partners:
Developing collateral for thought leadership campaigns with/by partners
Supporting Commvault and partner sales messaging activities and enabling partner lead generation
Measuring, monitoring and publishing metrics on customer usage and market penetration
L eading forecast calls as appropriate to predict and manage monthly, quarterly and annual revenue growth
Position Requirements include:
BS/MS in Engineering, Marketing or Business is preferred; MBA is a plus.
Minimum of 7+ years of software product marketing experience (preferably storage software, data/content management and/or data protection) including marketing of enterprise SaaS services.
Excellent writing/communication skills a must with demonstrated ability to communicate at the solution level and with a senior IT audience
Proven track record in developing thought leadership content such as white papers, case studies, solution guides, presentations, demos, contributed articles and sales training.
Track record in driving growth beyond 30% CARG in cloud and managed services.
Ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits.
Proficiency in Salesforce.com
Experience in leading and managing regular forecasting calls with accurate reporting to management
Experience with marketing to partners is a plus
Travel up to 25% will be required Qualifications
