To help us disrupt the trillion dollar telecom market, we’re looking for a Business Development Manager Connectivity to support our team in Amsterdam.

Impact

MessageBird is looking for a Business Development Manager Connectivity to identify, qualify, contact and close high value prospects and customers. Our Business Development Managers are the ones driving new customer acquisition and creating new revenue streams. Whether you represent MessageBird at events or employ a solution-selling methodology to help leads understand our unique selling points, you’re responsible for filling our pipeline with quality leads.

MessageBird has global reach with an HQ in Amsterdam. You’ll join our main Connectivity team in the Dutch capital, with plenty opportunities to travel throughout the EMEA region and beyond. You job is to generate revenue with a good margin by actively building and maintaining senior management-level relationships with our Connectivity customers.

Responsibilities

End-to-end ownership from identifying to closing high-value opportunities
Independently create your own forecasts and commit to monthly and quarterly targets
Identify joint regional sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets
Develop Messagebird’s visibility and build relationships across the communications space
Work closely with Routing and Support team to seamlessly deliver the best possible service tailored to each customer and ensure a smooth onboarding for new ones
Keep up-to-date records of activities, opportunities and accounts in our CRM system - we’re using ProsperWorks.
Be responsible for building and maintaining sufficient pipeline coverage
Representing MessageBird at events and tradeshows
Requirements

2-3 years experience in B2B business development within the enterprise software space, preferably in the communications space
A good understanding of the trends driving innovation in technology
Track-record of closing complex technical solutions to software companies in excess of $100K
Experience with creating quotes, negotiating terms and managing contracts
World-class interpersonal and communication skills to make complex contractual, technical, and financial details sound simple to influence individuals and groups at all levels
Proven experience in balancing competing priorities and managing multiple deals at the same time
Great presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel internationally (25-30%), globally
Great working knowledge of English, proficiency in other languages (German, French, Spanish) are appreciated
