As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you are the first person to talk to our future clients and therefore on the forefront of our success. Understanding the challenges in the online customer journey that companies share with us and making the connection to our capabilities is key to this job.
As a Sales Development Representative you will be instrumental in continuing the development of our global client base in the IoT space. To do this successfully a creative, open and tailored approach is required. The intrinsic drive and sincere interest in people and their challenges will put you ahead.
The goal is for this role to be able to not only get the meetings in the agenda, but also to create the pitch and a storyline that sticks.
About the job:
Perform outbound sales activities related to marketing campaigns, lead follow-up and opportunity qualification in the IoT industry.
Research accounts to understand need, enable effective follow up, and generate interest.
Collaborate with the Sales & Marketing department to create fitting storylines and pitch those
Meets or exceeds activity metrics for outbound emails and calls, appointments set, sales qualified leads added, and prospecting time.
Proactively look for opportunities to improve, optimize end-to-end lead management and other sales and marketing processes.
You will be responsible for sparking interest of prospective customers, challenging them in digitalization of their online support initiatives, qualifying leads and helping closing deals.
Identifying key pieces of information about the leads that will be helpful in the sales process
Setting meeting appointments for our Sales department and conduct web and phone-based demos to drive customer acquisition.
Updating information about existing leads in Salesforce
Effectively managing leads towards becoming sales qualified
Consistently tracking to and/or exceeding quota
A typical day as a SDR
A typical day in the team starts with a quick meeting or stand up while enjoying coffee. We go over the tasks for that day and determine their priorities and anticipate future challenges. This is also a good time to exchange ideas and see how we will reach our goals. Then we will start with prospecting new leads, following up with existing leads and pitching our ideas.
