· Banqueting | Can we charge our event on account?
· Front office | Chasing people and give follow up on outstanding bills with the departments.
· Restaurant | Helping us change money and checking if our guests have paid!
· Technical service | Ensuring all the bills are being paid!

What you are really going to be doing:
As Accounts Receivable Clerk you are responsible for all events, conferences and meetings that are being charged on account. To ensure a smooth process you are in close contact with our Banqueting and Groups, Conferences and Events department. On top of that some of the room bookings are also being charged on account, which makes you the person in contact with our Front Desk and Reservations department. As Accounts Receivable Clerk you take care of the different bank accounts and you ensure these are updated with great eye for detail. When something is wrong you turn into a real chaser, to contact the right department and to make sure the guest receives the correct invoice. In this role you will not only be the contact point for your colleagues in the hotel but also for the guests and external companies. You take care of a good follow up to ensure all bills are being paid on time and are correct on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

This role is combined with the role of General Cashier, whereby you will be responsible for guarding the cash flow in the hotel. All cash receipts of the different outlets, such as Restaurant Pearl, Bar SPARK and our Starbucks Coffee Corner, end up on your desk! You are responsible for the correct handling of the cash and for detecting differences. When you establish a difference, you will do whatever it takes to detect where this difference comes from, you become a real detective! These differences are then resolved with the concerning departments so that at the end of the day you can go home satisfied!

Being a successful Accounts Receivable Clerk/General Cashier is not something you do on your own. The Finance team of Hilton The Hague is led by a Finance Manager and consists a Chief Clerk, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/General Cashier and a Cluster Income Auditor. Everybody has their own expert field of knowledge and we work hard to ensure great financial results, but also take time to discuss our weekend over coffee and celebrate success with snacks & drinks.
