The department
The Market Access team is a part of the Market Access, Policy & Communications (MAPC) department at MSD Global Human Health in Haarlem. The combination of several disciplines in one department offers a unique opportunity for collaboration in an ever evolving health care environment. The Market Access team has 5 Market Access managers that are responsible for different therapeutic area’s and report into the Associate Director Market Access. The team works closely together with the HTA/OR, policy, communication and business colleagues.
The position
Supporting optimal reimbursement conditions for MSD medicines to enable access for eligible patients in The Netherlands. As a team member you will contribute to the development and implementation of market access plans that support the value of MSD medicines in key therapeutic area’s (with a focus on Primary Care).
As the Market Access Manager you are responsible for:
Supporting design and implementation of optimal reimbursement strategies and realizing optimal access to patients of new and current medicines of MSD
Contributing to product value messaging, (data) substantiation and implementation of strategies in assigned key therapy area’s (with focus on Primary Care)
Close collaboration on a daily basis with HTA/ OR manager, Medical Affairs and Business Colleagues
Supports in achieving / exceeding sales targets and agreed KPI's for MSD business
Collect and interpret scientific arguments that support the value of our medicines. Anticipate changes in the market environment. Build solid value propositions for optimal access of MSD medicines during the total life cycle
Propose and discuss with the team the content and strategy of reimbursement dossiers, also based on questions and feedback in the regulatory pathway
Perform comparator analyses and judge earlier ZiN advices
Discuss epidemiology and (patient) registries for budget impact analyses and PE modelling with the HTA/OR manager
Qualifications
Desired skills & experience
University degree (MD, pharmacist, pharmaco-economist, life-sciences).
At least 5 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry and expertise in Oncology and/or market access
Basic knowledge of the health system, reimbursement system and pricing principles

Fluency in Dutch and English
